George advises on technology transformation, cyber resilience, and AI-native operating improvement. He supports leadership teams and investors to assess, prioritise, and execute — with operational discipline and commercial focus.

He has led global technology and security for H&M Group operating across 81 markets and ~130,000 colleagues as Group CTO and CISO, and was previously CISO at ASOS, where he rebuilt the cybersecurity function and introduced an AI fraud platform that paid back in three months. Earlier, he directed product and engineering at News UK (The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun), launched Sky+, Sky HD and Sky Anytime at Sky, and at Vodafone represented technology in the integration of acquired businesses as part of the post-deal team. He began his career as an R&D officer at the UK Ministry of Defence.

George has worked directly with Apax Partners, Inflexion, and H&M Ventures on technology and cyber diligence for acquisitions and portfolio-company transformation. For Apax, he stabilised the platform and team at WGSN, the digital asset within the EMAP group. For Inflexion, he coached the CEO of Kinetic — the world’s largest provider of agricultural data — through the shift from manual Excel-and-PowerPoint delivery to a scalable digital service model.

He holds multiple patents in cybersecurity, contributes to the UK National Cyber Security Centre and the National Crime Agency through advisory forums, and completed executive programmes at London Business School and MIT Sloan.

Dan advises private equity investors and management teams on technology transformation, cybersecurity turnarounds, operating model improvement, operational resilience and value creation. His work focuses on addressing business-critical challenges at the intersection of technology performance, organisational effectiveness and enterprise risk, helping businesses optimise technology portfolios, reduce costs and execute complex transformations, including technology due diligence, 100-day plans and operational improvement programmes.

Most recently, Dan was Director of Digital Security at the LEGO Group (~€11bn revenue, ~34,000 employees), where he led the 2025–2027 cybersecurity strategy and operating model transformation across corporate technology, seven manufacturing sites and more than 230 product teams. He led a turnaround of the security function, restructuring delivery ownership and accountability, modernising operations, strengthening manufacturing cybersecurity and NIS2 readiness, and improving enterprise resilience, contributing to over €2m in annual insurance premium savings.

Previously, Dan held senior technology transformation and cybersecurity leadership positions at H&M Group. He led the execution of an enterprise-wide technology transformation delivering €150m in realised benefits, followed by more than €25m in additional savings and revenue protection. His work included redesigning technology operating models across 320 teams, aligning delivery with business capabilities, shaping global delivery and sourcing strategy, and driving targeted AI adoption through forward-deployed technology teams. He also mapped over 900 systems and services to identify rationalisation opportunities and established technology investment governance across an approximately $1bn portfolio. Alongside this, he directed a €17m global cybersecurity portfolio, established enterprise technology risk and governance capabilities, and led responses to major cybersecurity incidents.

Dan is an admitted South African attorney and holds a master's degree from Leiden University, CISM and ISO 27001 Lead Implementer certifications, and a Harvard postgraduate certificate in Cybersecurity and Risk Management.
